IDENTITY – not ethnic, sexual, religious,communitary, zonal or any other sort but, an URBAN ONE, an identity created by urban society, which determines us, an identity given by the coloured monochrome of every day and every night in cities where we are born, wegrow up, we live and work, a barrowed identity, impersonal and non-personal. Un unidentifiable identity, imprinted by every detail of the urban life from the residential district with its blocks, shops, supermarket and mall to the politics and culture of the city evidenced by its characteristic means of behaviour and communication. URBAN TRACES is both a record and a photo of identity in the urban environment with all that it implies, with the determination of a false understanding of identity submitted to taboos of thinking and behaving.
